the pixie Project

The Pixie Project is a non-profit animal adoption center and rescue. They offer a variety of services to the public including but not limited to: pet adoption services, pet owner education and support and low cost and free spay and neuter and veterinary services for homeless and low-income pet owners. They are raising the bar on animal rescue! Located in Portland, Oregon, Pixie’s goal is to transform animal adoption and rescue into a fun, family-friendly and positive experience by taking a hands-on, personal approach to each and every adoption. Pixie is committed to the art of match-making between pet and person!


Portland animal welfare team

The Portland Animal Welfare Team is a grassroots, volunteer-powered nonprofit that provides vital veterinary services for over 1,000 Portland-area families per year, aiding individuals living on the streets, in transitional shelters or government housing, as well as those facing temporary financial hardship that restricts their access to medical care for their pets. PAW Team provides veterinary care through a robust medical program including essential wellness, vaccinations, parasite prevention, medication, management of some chronic conditions, food, pet supplies, and so much more. They have no veterinarians on staff and rely on the generous time and energy of a network of volunteers to help power our clinics.


Cat Adoption Team

Portland’s Cat Adoption Team (CAT) is the largest cat shelter in the Pacific Northwest. They offer adoption, foster care, and veterinary services to homeless cats and kittens. Cat Adoption Team works to connect homeless cats with loving new families and to support those relationships over time


Oregon Humane Society

The Oregon Humane Society is dedicated to creating a more humane world for animals and the people who love them. For over 150 years, OHS has been a leader in animal welfare, providing shelter, adoption services, veterinary care, and advocacy. With a compassionate approach, they work to find loving homes for pets, promote responsible pet ownership, and advance the well-being of animals through education and community outreach.


Stumptown Strays

Stumptown Strays is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to taking in shelter dogs with medical needs that may prevent them from being adopted. Through their volunteer veterinarians, fosters, and donations, they provide lifesaving care needed to get each dog ready to find its forever home.
