Join the Kenton & Cathedral Veterinary Team!

We’re looking for a Veterinarian and CVT!

Join us in Portland’s vibrant Kenton and St. Johns neighborhoods! We’re looking for a veterinarian to join our team of collaborative docs, as we keep growing and growing. Kenton Animal Hospital (2016) and Cathedral Animal Hospital (2019) were established to promote a positive workplace that prioritizes work-life balance and employee happiness. Our carefully and thoughtfully chosen team is compassionate, authentic, efficient, and brings a sense of humor to our work. We encourage learning, and want you to practice the full spectrum of care that educates our clients and provide quality medicine.

Community involvement is at the heart of what we do, and we take pride in supporting local organizations and events including the Portland Animal Welfare (PAW) Team, PrideVMC, PVMA, OVTAA, and more.

As an integrative practice, we offer a multi-modal and individualized approach to each patient through traditionally familiar Western medicine, as well as other modalities which includes TVCM, acupuncture, laser therapy, herbal medicine and massage therapy. We also offer digital radiography, in-house labs, and an elevated standard of care for surgery, dentistry, and anesthetic procedures. We strive to provide the best individualized care for our patients in a peaceful and calm environment. Experience in integrative medicine is not required, but a desire to learn about it is a must. We practice Fear-Free techniques and take each patient’s physical and emotional well being into account for each visit.

Must be able to be licensed in Oregon, open to new graduates

We highly value our CVTs, and want you practicing at the top of your license. We are searching for a fourth CVT or experienced surgical assistant to join our surgical team, and also have someone willing to help wherever is needed in rooms, technician appointments, drop offs, and more. Our ideal candidate has experience with monitoring anesthesia, performing dental prophys, is willing to train others, and is well rounded with client experience and in patient care. Our collaborative doctor team values the opinions of our staff, and rely on the staff for well rounded patient care. Willing to work with and train a new grad!

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of veterinary experience, with a willingness to work at both locations. We are CLOSED on weekends(!), and typically schedule four 10-hour shifts.

Please reach out to us at contact@cathedralanimalhospital.com or stop by either location for more info.
