Emma grew up in beautiful Rhode Island where she attended art school at RISD. She moved to the PNW six years ago to be closer to the great western outdoors. She always had a deep love of animals and as a young child would often tell people she wanted to become a veterinarian when she grew up. For the past several years Emma has worked as a dog walker, dog sitter, and at a boarding and daycare facility which temporarily placated her deep need for a dog until she adopted her own baby boy. Their favorite activities are sleeping, hiking with her weekly unofficial ladies hiking club, watching Parks and Recreation, cooking by a camp fire, coveting other peoples’ old Ford Broncos, and going to Thousand Acres dog park. She will be enrolling in the Veterinary Technician program at PCC in the near future.
Nicole has always had an incredible interest in veterinary medicine, and from an early age, it was apparent that this was the field for her. Nicole was born in New Mexico and made the big move to Portland back in 2011. She completed a veterinary assistant program just before moving to Portland. She is happily settled into her life here, spending time with her daughter, partner, and their beautiful dog, Cassie, outside of work.
Maeci started working with animals in 2016 in Northern California. They've recently started a program to become a certified vet tech and they are happy to be on this journey with Kenton and Cathedral Animal Hospitals. In their free time you might find Maeci quilting, going for a pizza run (going for a jog and then getting pizza after), or hanging out with their partner and two goofy mutts.
Bre is a Pacific Northwest native with a short stint in New Mexico. Bre has been working in the Veterinary field since 2012 and graduated from Carrington College from the Veterinary Assisting Program in 2013. She grew up with all sorts of animals ranging from dogs to guinea pigs, she currently owns 4 dogs, a cat and a guinea pig! Her animals names are Mocha, Bella, Rosta and Turtle, her cat's name is Moustache and the guinea pig is named Spud! Turtle came to her with two broken legs and after surgery, healing and physical therapy you'd never know that he had broken limbs as he thoroughly enjoys life now, running around with the rest of the pack. She prides herself in striving to provide the best care possible for your furry family members. When not at work you will find Bre with her nose buried in a book or at the hanging out at the beach with her dogs. She enjoys working with all cats and dogs but Chihuahua's hold a special place in her heart, especially the grouchy old fellas!
Jenn is originally from southeastern Connecticut, but has been in the Pacific Northwest for 22 years. Ever since she can remember, she has always had a pet companion to care for and dote on. In 2008 her life changed forever when she adopted a mangey dump dog from Mexico named Pepsi. This new companion took care of her too! It only made sense that after almost 15 years in the pet food industry (with a focus on canine nutrition), that she looked into working in the veterinary medicine field. And here is where she was introduced to the field of canine massage. Jenn enrolled at the Northwest School of Animal Massage and is now a Certified Small Animal Massage Practitioner and is currently working on her Rehabilitation Massage Certification. In her limited spare time, she can be found trapping feral cats for the Feral Cat Coalition, massaging shelter dogs, going to movies and live music shows, and most importantly spending time with her partner, Mat, and their beautiful shelter mutts' Pepsi and Rocket and their 21 year old kitty, Jorge.
My name is Libby. I am originally from the Midwest, an Oregon transplant since 2015. Avid animal lover since childhood, always spending as much time with any animals I would came across. This is my first job in the veterinary field, but I've always volunteered to watch pets for my friends and family. Besides animals, I love art.
Hi, my name is Britney and I have lived in Portland and surrounding areas my whole life. Growing up I was always helping with my dads auto restoration business but being around animals has always been my happy place. Since I can remember I have been around animals, right now I have a bunch of chickens, 4 goats, and 4 dogs running around. I've recently started a veterinary school program to become a certified veterinary technician and I am excited to keep growing. When I am not doing homework in my free time you can find me exploring the outdoors, trying new food places or reading a book.
Since MJ was a child, they always wanted to be a veterinarian. Growing up in Hawai’i, MJ got to experience a vast array of different animals and it honed her love for our furry friends. She grew up with bull mastiffs, and she worked with the Sea Turtle Rescue Team. MJ is studying to complete their undergraduate to go on to Veterinary college eventually. She hopes to own her own veterinary hospital or work in a Zoo, where she could use all her knowledge of tropical animals. MJ started out with us as a kennel assistant and they quickly became a wonderful assistant and continues to grow their skills. When not at work, MJ loves hiking with their amazing pug, Keiko aka Bean, climbing, skateboarding, and knitting.
